Introduction to Applied Networking class.
Instructor Eric Johnson
Three tests of 20-40 questions total of 100 points (curved to a 75 average)
Four labs with reports worth 25 points each. Late labs will receive 50% of earned score.
There will be two homework assignments which will be worth 20 points each and if they are late will receive 50% of earned score.
Lab reports and homework assignments are due as specified in the syllabus. They can be Emailed to me (email esj@cs.fiu.edu) and the content of the message *must* be in PDF format.
They *must* be turned in electronically as a single document. Ziped or tared files of multiple documents will not be accepted.
And they must include your name and PantherID.
You can also turn in labs and homework assignments on paper the old fashioned way if you would like. Emailed lab reports are not considered turned in until you have received a confirmation email from me. If you do not receive a confirmation email then I DID NOT receive it and you may find it graded as late. If you have any doubt, bring a paper copy to class on the due date.
There will be a design project near the end of the semester. There will be a total score of 60 points for the design project, 20 for the first draft and 40 for the final draft.
0 Points on each of the design projects (draft and final) if not turned in on time.
While the data in the labs may be collected in groups all lab reports and homework assignments or projects are to be done individually. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. See the the official FIU Code of Academic Integrity. If I determine students have copied lab reports or assignments your will receive a 0 for that lab or report. Followup instances will be referred to Student Affairs.
