Dear Dr. S. Sundararaj Iyengar:

On behalf of the 2013 National Academy of Inventors Fellows Selection Committee, we are very pleased to inform you of your election to the rank of NAI Fellow.

The Selection Committee has chosen members “who have demonstrated a highly prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development, and the welfare of society.”

You are cordially invited to attend the NAI Fellows Induction Ceremony on March 7, 2014 in Alexandria, Virginia at the United States Patent and Trademark Office headquarters. Fellows will be inducted by the Deputy U.S. Commissioner for Patents, following a luncheon. The luncheon and induction ceremony are part of the 3rd Annual Conference of the National Academy of Inventors. We would be honored to have you attend the entire conference.

Please RSVP for the luncheon and induction ceremony by December 13, 2013 to me at kleach@usf.edu. If you cannot attend, please provide your mailing address at your earliest convenience to receive your trophy and rosette.

In order to ensure that we have a chance to inform all the new Fellows before the news becomes public, we ask you to please keep this information confidential. You may share the news with family and friends, but please do not make any public announcements (including Tweets, blog entries, etc.) until we do our news release on all the newly elected Fellows around December 10, 2013. We will also notify your institution's public affairs office so they have the opportunity to do a simultaneous news release on your election.

Our sincere congratulations on this well-deserved recognition of your accomplishments.

Sincerely,
Keara
