There will be 5 programming assignments
that must be done individually
unless otherwise stated. All programs must be turned in at the beginning of class on the due date
and there will be a 10-minute quiz
on the assignment at that time. Each assignment will be worth 17 points and the
quiz will be worth 3 points. This is for the first 3 assignments. The fourth
assignment is worth 20 points and the fifth/sixth assignment is worth 40 points.
These will constitute 29% of the
grade. When handing in assignments hand in a printout of the source file and a
diskette or CD with the source
file on the disk. Also the programming style must adhere to the class programming style guidelines. There will be a 100-point exam during the term and a 200
point comprehensive exam at the end. The 100 point exam will be 23% of the grade and the comprehensive final
exam will be 48%. Failing the exams part of the grade means failing the course
regardless of the assignments score.
