VW Vans
A tax break in the UK has meant that VW vans are selling exceptionally well, especially a version known as the Kombi.
The vehicle has adopted a cult status amongst a new class of Van driver. The most popular version, which is known as the
VW Sportline is essentially an enhanced version, complete with body-kit, that is popular with business persons and
surfers alike. The vehicle resembles the ” A Team Van” so some popular UK media have said.
Volkswagen vans have prooved the most popular choice in the UK for registrations
as a van leasing product. An uncomfirmed source at Volkswagen confirmed that Volkswagen
sucess was down to brand image and high resale values on vehicles especially the VW Transporter
Also a move away from traditional colours such as white have enhanced leasing
future resale values which in turn have helped.
Despite the credit crunch, the UK commercial lease market is
holding stable. Since the business model is based around asset leases, and around,
solid accounts and key information, lenders are confident that they will lend a record amount this year.
John Malcombe of university Colledge London Said ” The commercial vehicle market does not seem to suffer from the excessive peaks and troughs as does the
rest of the automotive trade. They seem to have been assisted in greater market penetration
due to enhanced vehicle availability”
Many companies in the UK are paying too much tax or so it seems.
A recent survey showed that 63.2 % of company owners in the Uk
are paying too much tax by purchasing vans and commercial vehicles outright,
rather than opting for a more sensible leasing or hire option.

” Over 60 % of companies would benefit from using a method such as finance lease
to stave off their excessive tax burdens Volkswagen van sales.
