Halloween costumes season seems to be more popular than last year, as the traffic to all halloween costumes has been phenomenal. Howeever, it was depressing to see why my halloween costumes website went down in search engine rankings at the wrong time of the year. I have never been able to understand Google ranking mechansim so far, in my short career of optimizing website for search engine and maintaining the usability to my users. With less than 10 days remaining, my website doesn’t stand any chance to come back in first page again for the halloween costumes keyword. Economy crisis has not made any impact on halloween costumes this season. Have a safe halloween season everyone.

anicent greek costumes and its myth
Around 1.200 B.C. waves of Dorian invaders swept into Greece from Illyria on the east of the Adriatic and brought about the downfall of the Mycenaean civilization. The following four centuries are known as the “Dark Age” of Greece. The period started with a civilization of people dressed in bell-shaped skirts and tightly fitted bodices, and ended with a race dressed in draped clothes, the Greek costumes we now associate with the Greeks and the Romans.
During the periods under discussion, generally referred to as Archaic and Classical, there were two basic styles of costume for both men and women: Doric, in existence at the beginning of the Archaic period, and Ionic which was adopted later.Again the roman costumes was made from a single rectangle of material but much wider than that used for the peplos, measuring up to ten feet wide. It had no surplus material and was measured exactly from shoulder to ankle. The enormous width required that eight to ten fibulae were needed to fasten the top edge, leaving an openwork seam either side of the neck which ran across the shoulders and down the arms to form elbow-length sleeves.
Ancient egyptian costumes
Like Egyptian women today, their forebears colored their nails, palms, soles and sometimes hair also with a paste containing the yellowish-red pigment of henna leaves.
Tattooing was also used to enhance feminine charms. The patterns on some predynastic and archaic statues are usually regarded as the earliest examples.
The erotic overtones of the art emerge clearly from the figures of ‘brides of the dead’ laid in tombs from the New Kingdom onwards; these were decorated with the familiar tattoo motifs.
Even in ancient Egypt a gorgeous complexion did not last for ever. To treat wrinkles (and freckles) oil of fenugreek was recommended, a plant freely available because of its use as animal fodder.
No sooner had they stepped outside the dim seclusion of their homes than the Egyptians were exposed to the full impact of the sun. The deep blue sky was seldom hidden by clouds blowing in from the Mediterranean, to be dissipated later over middle Egypt and only rarely reaching into Upper Egypt.
The low humidity of the Sahara, the world’s largest desert, affected the Nile valley too, so that human body temperature was regulated by the evaporation of sweat even at a time of great physical exertion.
The pioneers in dress and hygiene alike were understandably the women, who learned to enhance the natural beauty of their dark-haired, dark-eyed Mediterranean kind and the charm of their graceful movements by the tasteful lines of their egyptian costumes, striking coiffure, relative cleanliness and the use of alluring perfumes.
From prehistoric times the climate of the country had forced people to wear light, airy clothes. Heavy perspiration led them to take care of their skin and hair not merely by washing, but by a quite elaborate cosmetic routine.
In the New Kingdom dignitaries of the highest ranks, such as the vizier Rekhmire, the overseer of the physicians Nebamun and the royal herald Intef, sometimes wore a distinctive Egyptian costume not unlike women’s dress - a tunic fitting under the arms, held up by a narrow ribbon round the neck, and reaching to the ankles.

Exploring The Dangers Of Sugar In Halloween Dessert Recipes
Here, I will be exploring the dangers of sugar in Halloween dessert recipes. If you have a sweet tooth, or you are concerned about your health and the health of those that will be consuming these Halloween treats, it is important that you pay special attention to the contents of this article.
Halloween dessert recipes are an essential component to fall festivities. While many are gathering up all of the essential ingredients to create their spookynite snacks, many will be purchasing sugar in order to mix in to give the desserts a sweet taste. Unfortunately, many people who will be purchasing this ingredient simply do not know or understand that there are dangers associated with this substance.
When an individual consumes the sugar in Halloween dessert recipes, and other sweets, it throws off the natural homeostasis process. If you are wondering what this is, it is really simple to understand. Homeostasis is simply the equilibrium, or “balance” in the body that is considered to be “ideal”.
It basically means that all of components of the body are working in harmony together for proper maintenance. As sugar enters the body, it throws off this natural and required balance in the body. One of the first areas that are affected in a negative fashion is the immune system of the body.
Sugar will actually have a negative impact on the defenses that the immune system sets up in order to fight against potentially threatening diseases and sicknesses. When the immunity of the body is suppressed, many health complications may arise.
Now, when creating those Halloween treats this year, there is a large possibility that children will be consuming them. If you will be using sugar as an ingredient, you may want to consider the effects that it can have on these kids. It has been discovered that adrenaline increases quite rapidly in the body of a child when they consume foods and beverages that contain sugar.
Furthermore, these children have been observed in experiencing high levels of anxiety and even signs of hyperactivity. Many medical professionals and parents who have observed the effects of sugar on children have noticed that many of these kids are not able to concentrate effectively.
Irritability and depression are also common side effects. Before creating a menu of all the Halloween dessert recipes that you will be creating this fall, be sure to consider not using as much sugar and finding another source of sweetener to add other than straight sugar. This is only a small list of the dangers associated with this substance.

scary and amusing halloween ideas
Halloween is always just around the corner, have you decided what you’re costume is going to be this year? With all the choices of new Halloween costumes and ideas it’s really hard to decide on just one costume or whether you’re going to use makeup or just make your own Halloween mask and costume. Most people find it hard choosing a costume for themselves, let me give you some ideas and tips that you may not have thought of.
Halloween night would not be complete without some spectacularly scary costumes. The first question that any kid often asks when they wake up the day after is, “Where is all my Halloween candy?” and this is quickly followed by, “What am I going to dress up as next year?” The anticipation of dressing up in a spooky costume and Halloween mask gets everybody excited. The biggest thrill of Halloween has got to be transforming yourself into a monster, ghost, ghoul, vampire, witch, or other freaky costume characters. Of course, the most outrageous Halloween costumes are the best.
Where Did Halloween Costumes and Masks Originate?
Where did wearing Halloween masks and costumes actually start? So how did wearing a costume and mask for Halloween start? With the Celts. They held the belief that the spirits of the dead roamed the earth on Halloween night. Some of these spirits were amicable, but others were thought to be unfriendly and bitter towards those people who were still living and able to enjoy the fruits of the earth that the spirits once did. To camouflage themselves from these bad spirits, the Celts used soot to paint their faces. This basic method of disguising their faces developed, over time, into the more elaborate masks and accompanying Halloween costumes that are worn today. It also became traditional to emulate the frightening spirits by dressing up as ghosts or skeletons.
Tips and Suggestions for Halloween Costumes
There are literally hundreds of different types of Halloween costumes available today. Choosing the perfect one depends on two criteria - the first being which Halloween character you want to become, and the second being how much you are prepared to spend. One way to get an idea of just what types of masks and costumes there are available, and to help you to narrow down the huge choice is to search the Internet. There are plenty of low-cost Halloween costumes, some funny ones, and also those that are extremely elaborate and cost hundreds of dollars. It is worth bearing in mind that you can transform a relatively plain Halloween costume quite easily by using face paints and even add a pair of spooky Halloween contact lenses. Creating your own Hallloween kids costumes is also fairly simple and you can make one from anything that you have available. It needn’t cost a fortune or take a lot of time and effort either. All you really need is to come up with an idea for a Halloween costume and take it from there. Everyday items and imaginatively applied makeup can create some awesome effects.
Hints and Tips for Halloween Makeup
Halloween makeup can sometimes be more effective than a mask. It really depends on the effect that you want to achieve, and how much money you want to spend. Halloween makeup can cost less, as well as being more safe for kids when they are out trick or treating, as it does not obscure their sight. You can achieve some amazing effects with Halloween makeup too. You can buy makeup kits or use the same type of grease paints that actors use in the theater, with lots of wonderful colors that are easy to apply, and easy to remove. A low cost alternative is to use normal makeup, such as blush, eyeliner, eye shadow and lipstick. Water-based paint is also a great option, especially if you have had trouble finding a costume. You can create your own scary face with very little effort, and can wear any clothes you want to. This works particularly well if you paint yourself up to look like a zombie, or other creature that has risen from the dead. Your face paints will acts as a mask, and will turn any clothes into a

Tips and Tricks for Halloween Masks
There is something magical about a Halloween mask that makeup does not quite achieve. This is because they can instantly change you into someone, or something, else. Masks have been worn since ancient times to enable people to adopt a new identity, and for worshipping different Gods and spirits. You can buy a wide variety of Halloween masks via the Internet, ranging from terrifying vampires and witches to more mythical creatures, such as fairies, or even caricatures of famous people. For something a little different, you can create your very own masquerade style mask to compliment a costume by dressing up a plain facemask. All you need is some glue, and you can add anything you want to it, such as beads or even items that you find in your garden, like flowers and leaves, for a truly unique Halloween mask. If you want to make a Venetian style bird mask, you can add feathers and a beak. The Celts wore bird masks during their Samhain festival too.
