For this assignment you can use your own laptop or the buffalo server
provided by FIU. ALL WORK TO BE SUBMITTED IN CLASS OR THE LAB

To obtain Virtualbox, Ubuntu, Java, and Windows follow this link:

   under the heading of Operating Systems, as explained in class.
   Windows OS is inside the Buffalo server.  

a - Install Virtualbox 
b - Install Ubuntu OS as a virtual machine inside virtualbox
c - Install Windows OS as a virtual machine inside virtualbox
d - Install Java JDK inside Ubuntu and Windows
    Make sure that java and javac work in the terminal mode in Ubuntu and
    in the cmd mode in Windows. 
e - Create a folder called projects inside Windows and Ubuntu
f - Create a folder called backups  inside Windows and Ubuntu
g - Using editors (DO NOT USE ECLIPSE, NETBEANS OR ANY OTHER IDE)
    In Ubuntu's  terminal create a file called ubuntuTest1 using the command line
h - In Windows's cmd      create a file called windowsTest1 using the command line
i - In Ubuntu and in Windows using the terminal/cmd modes
    Copy and rename your files in the projects folder 
                               to your backup folder
