Abstract


This project is studying the skills and utilization strategies that
facilitate self-awareness and acquisition of cognitive strategies
needed to be successful in the field of mathematics and science.

The procedure to collect data is through a structured survey and
interview guide titled Interview Questionnaire (IQ).  A
question/answer format is used that is interactive with the primary
researchers taking notes during the interview. The interview will be
conducted in a stress free, relaxed environment with the full
permission of the subject.

All responses are confidential and are respectful of  the anonymity of
the interviewees. No names or identifying references will be used in the
compilation of results.  Subjects may request limitations of use of data
collected through interviews with them.
