Biography: Raju Rangaswami

Raju Rangaswami is Eminent Scholar Chaired Professor of Computer Science at Florida International University where he directs the Systems Research Laboratory. His work has focused on computer systems and software, including operating systems, distributed systems, storage systems, computer security, and real-time systems as well as application domains such as web services, databases, cloud computing, and mobile computing. He has served as a technical and research consultant to the government and the technology and legal industry. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER award, the Department of Energy Early CAREER Principal Investigator (ECPI) award, an Intel University Research Office (URO) Award, the IBM Faculty Award, Seagate Technology research award, and Faculty Fellowship awards from NetApp. Raju Rangaswami received a B.Tech. degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He obtained M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Barbara where he was the recipient of the Dean's Fellowship and the Dissertation Fellowship.
