COP-3530, Data Structures Assignments

Programs are due at the start of class and must be submitted via moodle. Your submission must be a ZIP file (please use zip, not rar format), named as y_xxxxxxx.zip (where y is the assignment # (ranging from 1-6) and xxxxxxx is your seven digit panther ID); the file should include source code and sample output. Needed data files will be on the moodle site.

- After you have tested your program extensively, you can try to run the tests required for submission. Before you get too far, from an MS-DOS window, run
```
    java -version
```
  and make sure you are seeing the correct Java Virtual Machine. You must be running Java 6 or higher. If you are not, update the PATH Environment variable. Download Assign3Tester.class, and place it in the same folder that contains the cop3530 folder contaning its class files (from Netbeans this will be build\classes; DO NOT place Assign3Tester.class in the cop3530 folder itself). The test program is Assign3Tester which you can run from the command line. To set the PATH, you have two options.
  - Option #1 You can go to CONTROL PANEL, then SYSTEM, then select the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables, and add a new User entry (or update PATH if it exists). The PATH should include at least
```
.;C:\your folder where the Java system resides
```
    which is something along the lines of C:\jdk6\bin. There are several youtube videos available that illustrate this or you can look for documents such as this one.
  - Option #2 is you can run the command along the lines of
```
   set PATH=C:\jdk6\bin;%PATH%
```
    from you command line. But you will need to do this every time you bring up a new MS-DOS prompt.
  Note that in either case, if you have no version of Java, it doesn't matter if you add at the front or back of the PATH, but if you have a prior version of Java, you should either remove it from the PATH, or add the new version at the front so it is seen first. The main routine is in class Assign3Tester. Note the capitalization in Assign3Tester. To run from the command line, you will need to say
```
    java Assign3Tester
```
