I am a Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), Shanghai. I received the Ph.D. in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 1995. From 2001 to 2004, I was a Senior Research Associate in the Center of Advanced Distributed Systems Engineering, a part of School of Computer Science at Florida International University.

My research interests include information security, software architecture, and formal methods.  I was awarded two National Natural Science Foundation research grants and several grants from the Ministry of Education, China and other sources. My teaching interests include computing security, software engineering, semantics of programming languages, and discrete mathematics.  I received one first-class and one third-class awards for teaching excellence from ECUST. I co-authored one text book, and published over 40 papers in research journals and refereed conferences. I am a member of the ACM and the IEEE Computer Society.
